What is DPIIT recognition
DPIIT recognition is the Government of India’s formal acknowledgement that an entity qualifies as a startup under the Startup India framework. For Precepts AI, it means recognition in the AI and NLP sectors – the two domains we are building in.
Practically, it unlocks a set of regulatory and financial provisions: self-certification under six labour laws and three environmental laws, Fast Track processing for patent applications at significantly reduced cost, exemption from Angel Tax under Section 56(2)(viib) of the Income Tax Act, and eligibility for government procurement without prior turnover credentials.
These are not decorative. For a deep-tech company building hardware and AI infrastructure, the patent fast-track and procurement eligibility matter. We will use both.
What it means for PreceptsAI
PreceptsAI is the public face of Rhizomatic Artificial Intelligence Pvt. Ltd. DPIIT recognition applies to the parent company, which means everything built under it – Precepts Core, R2P, Precepts Apps, is built within a recognised deep-tech startup.
For potential clients in regulated sectors, this matters. It means the company you are evaluating is not a freelance operation or an unregistered entity. It is a formally recognised Indian startup with a ten-year standing, accountable to Indian law, building on Indian soil.
Where we honestly stand
What exists:
R2P is ready to go live sooni. It researches topics, writes SEO articles, publishes to WordPress, and distributes to social channels. It works. Watch out for it’s announcement post.

The DPIIT recognition certificate is on the wall as of this morning.
What is in progress:
Precepts Core – the air-gapped, on-premise hardware and software intelligence stack, is in active R&D. No launch date. No product page. When it is ready to show, we will show it.
Precepts FISC, Precepts CURA, and Precepts LEGIS – the vertical applications for CAs, healthcare providers, and legal professionals, are being designed in parallel with Core. They cannot exist without it.
Precepts Apps is taking on custom engineering work. If you need an intelligent application built to your requirements, that conversation is open.
What does not exist yet:
A large team. External funding. Customers for the Core product. A timeline we are willing to publish.
These things will follow the work, not precede it.
What comes next
The next milestone worth writing about is the first Early Access user on the Core waitlist who converts to a paid engagement. Everything between now and that moment is building.
